It seems like it is not getting a value to create the registered users, subscribers and/or administrators role. Check your Roles table in the database to see if it is creating the new roles for the new portal(s). You are going to have to do some digging around to see why this is happening. Have you changed anything? I ask because this is the first I heard of this being a problem.

One of our clients has exactly the same problem. A default portal is fine and working but any other child or parent portal returns the following error message when trying to edit portal:

Error: Site Settings is currently unavailable.

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: The parameter 'roleName' must not be empty. Parameter name: roleName ---> System.ArgumentException: The parameter 'roleName' must not be empty. Parameter name: roleName at System.Web.Util.SecUtility.CheckParameter(String& param, Boolean checkForNull, Boolean checkIfEmpty, Boolean checkForCommas, Int32 maxSize, String paramName) at System.Web.Security.Roles.GetUsersInRole(String roleName) at DotNetNuke.Security.Roles.RoleController.GetUsersInRole(Int32 PortalID, String RoleName) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.PortalManagement.SiteSettings.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

The portals cannot be deleted because DNN fails to render all the controls in the site settings container. Any insight on how to resolve this problem would be greatly appreciated. There are seem to be many people having similar problem, but no solution is available.
