Hi Rob!

Thanks a lot for dealing with this problem. Unfortunately this suggestion didn't helped.

Do you think that if you had accessed to my web site you could find a solution? Can I somehow give you my logon credentials so that you can see the behaviour your self?

Thanks again!

ps. I cannot create a child portal either. Same results.

Hi again,

Did you try installing a fresh DNN from scratch in order to test if you can make extra portals? I found that once the error had occured there was no way to save that copy of DNN. I had to reinstall no matter what.

If you do want me to have a look anyways, put your email address in here without the @ symbol and I'll send you an email to that address. I may not be able to help other than confirm that you have the same problem, however I could at least see if yours is configured like mine.

Also let me know where you host just in case that has anything to do with it. I'm having the problem on Webhost4life.

Regards,

Rob

No I haven't. Trying that on my host server is not that simple. I have to backup my existing one etc. I guess that if I try it locally it will work but this will not help.

After a bunch of debugging and walking through the code I have found the latest cause for me..

I had text in the hosting fee field which was cuasing the check

Dim dblHostFee As Double = 0

If Convert.ToString(Common.Globals.HostSettings("HostFee")) <> "" Then

dblHostFee = Convert.ToDouble(Common.Globals.HostSettings("HostFee"))

End If

To fail...

This was cuasing the problems for me the second time
