I have a problem with my install.

I have a brand instance of DNN 4.0.2 running I have a number of portals created under it.

Every time I try to create a new portal now though I get the following error

An Error Was Encountered During The Creation Of Your Portal. This May Have Been Caused By Specifying An Incorrect Password For An Existing User Account. Please Verify Your Details Before You Try Again.

I have tried to change every detail of the new portal be it  user name, password, email , URL , Portal ID nothing seems to do it and I am now stuck...

Any suggestions?

Is there trace code I can turn on to see what the problem is?

I think I have found the solution to this.

Turns out my Main portal still had the default Space limit of 0  mb I upped it to 500mb and all seems well now..

I am also having this problem. Could you please tell me where did you change this setting?

Edit

My mistake was the password length was less than that defined in web.config. Still where did you change this setting?

Same problem here with 4.02 - I've only been able to create one extra parent portal.. now I get the same error as above. Changin names and passes makes no difference.

Where exactly did you change the limit in the default portal... I can't see how editing one parent portal's disk space will affect the creation of a seperate parent portal?

Also, I was under the impression that 0 in the field meant unlimited space anyway?

Can someone from the core comment perhaps? This issue seems to persist through old forum posts on asp.net.

Thanks,
Rob

Update:
I've gone and turned up the diskspace for each of my two first portals to 100Mb. DNN then promptly reset my skin to default.. go figure. Anyhow, now I'm about to try firing up a third parent portal....
Nope.. same error
