I've just installed Visual Web Developer Express, and dotNetNuke starter kit?
Is there a way for me to run these on my local machine, for a newbian?
I don't have .Net hosting quite yet, but I'd like to get a jump on the project. For starters the starter kit .vsi download extracted zip files on my hard drive, and I can't even find those?

If you are running IIS 5.x (2k Pro or XP Pro), SQL 2000/MSDE/2k5/Express, and have the .Net Framework 2.0 installed you should be fine.  If not you will need to install these (you could try the free web server on http://www.aps.net, but I am not familiar with it).
