Hello there!

On the AspDotNetStoreFront forum, the following message has been posted by the customer service:

"There is a bug in the actual DotNetNuke version 4.8.4 framework that causes a few major functionality issues with AspDotNetStorefront. We have asked DotNetNuke for a patch or details on how the issue might be fixed, however they were unable to provide that for us. Until DNN version 4.8.5 is released, AspDotNetStorefront ML/DNN users should use a version of DotNetNuke prior to 4.8.4. Unfortunately since it is a DNN bug, there are no other fixes or workarounds available at this time.

Thanks," (http://forums.aspdotnetstorefront.com/showthread.php?t=12683)

Unfortunatelly, this doesn't help me as I don't know what is the problem, I don't know which version I should install... Also, I've been working for a while with DNN 4.8.4 and AspDotNetSotreFront, and would like to know if downgrade to 4.8.0-4.8.3 is possible and safe form DNN 4.8.4?

Thanks,

Nico

I believe the issue is with friendlyurls http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=7925&PROJID=2 that was introduced in 4.8.3 and has already been resolved in 4.8.5 . I guess their issue is that we don't issue individual patches, we issue new releases to fix bugs. I expect 4.8.5 will be out in a week or so.

Note:I do not recommend downgrading, it rarely works.

Cathal

small update: due to the number of fixes and enhancments made we'll be releasing it as 4.9.0, not 4.8.5 -it's still planned to be released relatively soon.

I'm more curious about when 5.0 is going to be out.  At OpenForce last year the community was promised a Q1 release of 5.0.  From November 7th till August 8th (9 Months!) all we've seen is DotNetNuke go from 4.7.0 to 4.8.4 and still nobody knows when 5.0 will come out.

Any ideas?
