As long you're clicking the Windows Signin button before you enter your credentials then I can't see why it wouldn't be working. Without being on your network to try and debug the code there I can't do much else.

I'd try another user account. I have heard of cases where one or two user accounts had problems logging in while others didn't.

I was getting the same error from either login page.  Installed 4.08.04 from scratch, adding the AD provider as part of the custom install process.  I would get the error in the event viewer or a stack trace.  I don't have a saved stack trace but it ended in DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.dll with a null pointer in GetUser I think.  I was looking for the code for the DLL and saw a new drop.  I installed the new AD provider and it works.

Thanks,

Steve

Please tell me why in the Web.config at <authentication defaultProvider="ADSIAuthenticationProvider"> section writing providerPath="~\Providers\AuthenticationProviders\ADSIProvider. I don't find this directory in my DNN. It's right?

I had posted earlier that this was fixed with the new service provider.  Turns out I was wrong still getting the error Tirlah is seeing.  I can't login from the Login tab, but If I go to WindowsSignin.aspx directly, I get the authentication message box from IE and it works.  Is the difference in the form-vs-message box?  I can't figure out where the source to DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.dll lives so not much more I can do.

That's legacy (pre-DNN 4.6.0) and can be ignored.
