One thing that can make a big difference is your scheduler method (setting on the hosts page).  I always set it to use the Timer method, and this helps a lot.

I have this error now, too, just after importing a lot of records. I can't get the application back, just the error page. How can I clear out the logs etc.?

Thanks!

Hey Robax,

I'm almost wondering if this could be something that is a DNN and OS conflict.  I'm just pulling ideas out of the air, but, for example, language editing opens files and it is possible that there is an OS level file lock contention.  Are you able to make it freeze on command?  If so, do you have the ability to profile the website ( http://www.jetbrains.com/profiler/download/ ), make it freeze, and then post the "hot spots" here?

I'm very interested to see what's going on with the site.

Hi Tony,

I'm about to install that DotTrace app on my VPS to check it out. I've watched the demos they have on the site and the first thing it needs is an application to trace. Can you let me know what application on the system I should be pointing that to in order to trace it? Please let me know any other tips for running it because I'm flying a little blind here. I'll post the results back here soon as I can get some.

Rob
