We are trying to make a setup of DNN 4.8.4 on goDaddy shared hosting server. Please check www.adroitus.com/DNN. I have read comments on many forums and seems my settings are correct but not sure why it's not working for me. I followed below mentioned steps to make this setup -

1. Extracted the Install package.

2. Renamed original web.config to orig-web.config and release.config to web.config.

3. Modified the database connection string to point to correct database.

4. Created a virtual directory 'DNN' on hosting server and setup the .NET environment to ASP.NET 2.0

5. Created a database on hosting server.

6. Uploaded all files to directory 'DNN' from my local box & tried the given link and got the error.

7. Tried the same process with same set of files on local box and it worked without any issue. This made the issue more complicated.

Tried few more times but nothing seems to be working. I am not sure if it's possible to make the DNN setup on any directory of hosting server or it has to be strictly configured on root only.

Suggestions are highly appreciated.
