So now SmithV becomes devSmith... both users have just one post. Just pointing out this fact.

:)  Actually the devsmith account was opened early in 2007, the smithv was made when I couldn't get at the old one's info (dotnetnuke.com itself was erroring out on my password requests on the day I felt overwhelmingly compelled to spur the DNN Blog Team into action. And *this* one was created later in 2007 when I was working on a different comnpany's site with DNN and wanted the registration accounts to be distinct for projects.

:) And you have now added 2 posts to your huge count, but IMVHO, neither of them added much value to this particular thread.  Sometimes folks have thousands of "friends" on their LinkedIn accounts too :)

Back to the subject of the thread.

Mr. Chagoury: on July 21st 2008 at 9:58 PM you posted to the DNN Blog Module Blog that "we're close, can you taste it?"

Prior to that post there were a number of others talking up all of the new features that were in the pipeline for this release, some very exciting words and announcements.  Specifically there weere cleqar promises and details on "Social Bookmarks", "SEO improvements" and "Comments, Gravitars and more!" dated in June 2008.

It is now October 12th and there are some questions about the current status of the release.

1) Was the "so close" post in July premature?

2) Is there something out of your control that is getting in the way of release or any type of movement?

3) Has the - or Could the - current code be made available so that people who have an interest can see what has been done and perhaps help get it moving again?

In case you're wondering why I am still monitoring this thread when I said I was tired of DNN's lack of movement after such big announcments... I still have some faith that Mr. Chagoury will get back to work.

Alex, since you are a deep part of DNN, maybe you could give him a call and personally ask him to respond to the simple questions above.  That would be great of you, thanks.

(yes, this account also only has one post.  And Alex, if it makes you feel good, it doesn't bother me at all for you to move your big-count ticker to 1912  just to tell everyone that :) )

Well after many years of being a happy fan boy poster, this is the first case of "open-trolling"... I have ever seen.....  !
