Hi Robert,

I'm no expert at this but your skin references [MENU] which I understand to be now defunct and replaced by [SOLPARTMENU]. Also your HTML bas skin package contains no xml file where you set the parameters for any skinobjects used in the skin. Check out Skinning.pdf as included with the dnn package. Hope this is of some help.

Ok you are going to have to read some of the documentation - or open up someone elses file, or open up the dnn files and have a look.

  • Firstly - don't name the skin folder skin - give it a name like DragonByte.
  • Secondly - There is no skin.css file in there - put one in there
  • Thirdly - the images will never show - you need to put the skin path tag in there or use css - background="<%= SkinPath %>white.gif" as an example.
  • Fourth - there is no xml file in there - not sure if that makes a difference but it might.

Try rectifying some of these things first and see how you go .. and yes, pick up the pdf file and read it - or you can download a chm file I have as well as a small sample skin as an example.

It might help for you read some of the information that is available because this does look like someone who's never looked at any documentation or another file to see how things work. So these tips will help you and so will a bit of leisurely reading.
