But what do you say about the DROP COLUMN command that is issued in the installation scripts? of course when using a fresh installation it will work, but if you create the SQL scripts of the database and run it on another machine, you will have the problem.

In my case, there is no permission problem. First, I connect to the SQL Server instance with sa credentials on my own server (Windows Server 2003 and IIS6), where I have administrator rights.

If there is no solution to this, I will install the database without the forum module because I am not using it currently, but I don't know if I will in the future.

Another question... if IsPrivate column is not present? how the forum module would work? several stored procedures use that column.

I assume it is something with the database user permission, or the database install type.  There are several szenarious to install a SQL database, and any can done some issues are the settings not correct.  Can you find out and tell me on what database script versions the issues coused?  This wil be helpfull.  Allthrue I still can suggest to you to ping me via MSN and I can help you.
