I'm having the exact same problem.

 

Try not using object qualifiers?  Not an acceptable solution by any means.  I need to get this resolved ASAP.  I'm willing to attempt sorting through the DotNetNuke source code to fix this bug, but I shouldn't have to do that.  Surely someone has had this problem before us!??

 

By the way, the forum search function is apparently broken.  I was lucky to find this post by browsing around, but I can't search the forum for "CheckSchemaVersion" to see if anyone else has had this problem and what a resolution might be.  This should be fixed as well so that people who need help and want to look for answers right away rather than posting on what might be an old issue don't get stuck.

Okay, I found out a little more about this issue.  This is apparently a SQL Server permissions issue with installing the membership role provider.

The only challenge is, I'm trying to install DotNetNuke on a web hosting environment where I can't just ask for "complete security permissions" for the DotNetNuke SQL Server user.  I need to know more specifically what permissions I need to allow the install to work.  I can't very easily debug this on my own because it takes several hours for the web hosting tech support people to make even a single change to the permissions, and I seem to be unable to get DotNetNuke to properly install on my own machine at all.

 

C'mon, guys.  Someone has to have run into and solved this problem before...
