Hello all,

I've upgraded my DNN from version 4.8.4 to the version 4.9.

Before upgrading DNN, all works fine.

Now, I've some problem :

- Can't add new pages to any portal

- Can't add modules to any pages on any portal

How can I check the permission's table to see if any records have been destroyed ? Or is it a bug from the version 4.9 ?

This is a real problem for me.

Thanks for your help.

So a couple of quick questions - did you get any error messages when you did the upgrade? What error are you seeing when you try and add a new page? Do you have any other functionality that is working? Do you have a backup of your old 4.8.X site?

Hi,

During the upgrade, we have needed to execute the SQL script under the Management Studio. But some upgrades before 4.09 needs the same thing, so we didn't been surprised about this.

No error when I try to add a page or a module. The page is refreshed without any new elements. No logs event on the DNN log event.

Before upgrading, we have testing the upgrade : all websites runs perfectly, but we didn't try to add a new page / module, just see if the website runs correctly.

After the upgrade, all websites runs perfectly, but not the edition mode. I've omitted to say that we can't add files/folders on the Site :: Files menu. We checked the NTFS rights, all is good.

I must check an old server to see if a copy of my old DNN exists.

Thanks

ahem, if you're running the scripts from within Management Studio, I would try and figure out first why the regular upgrade path for you doesn't work. There are Sql Scripts that come with an upgrade, but there might be upgrades included within the code too which run as part of the upgrade process. If you run the scripts manually via Management Studio, you run the risk of the site not ever running the additional upgrade logic (which may or may not exist in a specific version)...
Can you explain why you've had to run the scripts manually (in the past)? At this point, I'd consider your database suspect as I would not know what state it is in as a result of running the scripts manually...

I don't know why...

Some updates failed on certain script, who run fine (without any modification) on manually mode...

Each of this update works fine after doing that (that is the same as the auto script run itself...).

I understand that my problem can come from my database, but how check it ?

Thanks a lot for your help
