Chris, did you ever get this figured out? I just upgraded two DNN instances (same server) to DNN 4.9. One is fine -- I can see the FCK editor. On the other, however, it's disappeared. I've tried all of the suggestions already mentioned in this thread, to no avail. Now I'm about to roll back from backup, as a last-ditch effort to resolve the problem.

please make sure, that the fckeditor settings in your web.config are the same as in release.config

Have you tried the 02.00.03 version of the FCKeditor provider?

No, I haven't figured out the exact cause yet. 

 

Because we had multiple aliases for each of our sites, I simply found out which ones worked and set the IIS server up to redirect requests for the others to the working aliases.  It doesn't fix the problem but it did mask it.

Definitely the oddest thing.
