Hello everybody,

I've been arround DNN for about two years (spare time), but never worked with it in real scenarios, just played around in dev installs and localhost installs. Now I have the oportunity to make 3 sites for 2 customers and myself, and decided to do it with DNN.

I'm hosting with WH4L, and they made a free install of DNN and provided me with a temporary URL wich works just fine, then I went to my domain register and changed the DNS for those WH4L told me to. Finally went to DNN as host user and added 2 alias to the main portal: www.mydomain.com and mydomain.com.

Now, when I use the temporary URL I acces DNN properly, but I have a runtime error when I use any of the alias. I tried changing the key <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" /> to <customErrors mode="off" />, but I don't know why (may be I have to check with WH4L) I get the same standar IIS runtime error page, with no detail on the error.

Any advice on what to do or how to search more?

Thanks in advance.
Marc

Typically if you have custom errors set to Off and still get the generic error it is one of two things.

1.) The incorrect ASP.NET version is set

2.) YOu have a syntax error in the web.config file
