Hi,

I upgraded to the latest version of the module and it broke my feed with the Pub Date issue (DNN core forums), but also the module just keeps refreshing every second rendering it unsuable. I thought it may be something to do with the -1 cache setting so I changed this to 500 but it keeps refeshing - am I doing something wrong?

Rodney,

I know there are caching issues with the new version, but I have not seen that particular one.  Peter did address soe of the caching issues reported, and your feeds from the DNN Forum module fails to pass validation because the DNN forum module does not emit valid RSSv2.0 feeds.  The pubDate element and the author elements are incorrectly formatted.  The validation is more relaxed in the Beta version due out shortly, but the truth is that the DNN Forum module uses a custom syndication routine that does not emit valid pubDate and author elements according to the RSS v2.0 spec. 

BTW - I strongly advise everyone to install the New DNN News module in a test environment first to understand what integration issues will be BEFORE placing them in a production environment.  I've blogged about some of the more common issues, so check out my blog for more info, and you can email about specifics if you need further clarification.
