I have two rss feeds on my site, when I upgraded to 4.0.0, one would not work (http://www.aopa.org/rss/aopanews.xml ).
How do I fix it?

The feed that is failing does not conform to RSS v2.0 specs for pubDate:

 <pubDate> "Thu, 2 Oct 08 0:00:00 EDT"</pubDate>

As you can see in the about element I extracted from this feed, the pubDate element includes quotations marks, which is not valid according to the RSS v2.0 spec.  I'm not sure what the news feed provider is using to generate the feed, but you can't fix their source.  The new Module does validate strictly according to RSS v2.0 specs.  The module validation methods are relaxed in the Beta version which can work around this issue, but the newsource really needs to do a better job of generating valid RSS v2.0, as a lot of new providers need as well.

The beta version is due out shortly.  Even then, I recommend always testing new modules in a Test environment prior to upgrading a Production environment.  Read my blog for more info.

Cheers

Sorry forgot to mention this bit...

You can try using the XML/XSL module for feeds that are failing.  You will need to specify a XSL file to translate it, though.  If you are new to this type of setup, check the forums for examples of suitable XSL files, I submitted a lot of them which you are welcome to copy, modify, and use as needed.  Hope this helps while you are waiting for the beta version to be released.

I forwarded your answer to the AOPA webmaster, they may have not been aware of the issue, maby they will fix it.

Thanks,

Steve
