OK, I have the basic DNN site up on the ISP, I can login both as host and as admin, but practically nothing else works.

I can't create a new page -- CRITICAL ERROR

I can't click setup for the Reports Module -- CRITICAL ERROR

Practically everything I try -- CRITICAL ERROR

My log file has about 200 red lines in it (I'm not bright but real tenacious, LOL)

Should I move to a different ISP or what?

How about logging in as HOST and taking a look at some of those redlines to see what the errors are that are occuring?

I can usually see the error logs.  Each of them is a full page of run-on sentence fragments that make no sense to me whatever.  Sometimes I can't see the error logs; when I click on "Site Logs" I get:

An error has occurred.

First thing I would do is to make sure the permissions have been properly set on your DNN folder. Can you do that, or do you have to have your host do that?

The host does it.  At setup time, it passed the Permissions check.  I think I'll change hosts.
