Doesn't anyone have some information to get me started in the right direction?

Try and set the Home page setting in Site Settings to the home page.

If I understand your request correctly, you need JavaScript to run on the client that will redirect to the home page when the timeout is reached. I don't know if there's an existing module to do this or not, but here's the code you'll need...

RegisterClientScriptBlock("sendHomeOnTimeout", "setTimeout('document.location.href=\'" + NavigateURL(PortalSettings.HomeTabId) + \'', 30*60*60);")

Of course, you'll have to check to see if the script is already registered and what-not. You might be able to do this in a Text/HTML module or as the header of any module, but you'll have to hard-code the home page URL for that.

Thanks for the information. Currently my development site is down while the test database is being upgraded for testing of microsoft sql server 2005, so I don't have anyway to test this right now, but I will when it's back up.
I don't really know a whole lot about javascript, except dealing with a few code snippets for page refresh. Where do I find out more information on what you are talking about with seeing if a script is registered?
Also, does anyone happen to know why this isn't in the core framework? There is a user timeout, but nothing that relates to it, so that a user know's when they are logged off automatically.

Thanks,
Chris

Here are references for .NET 1.1 and 2.0 - note that they're different. As far as it not being either in the core or a module, that's simply because nobody has stepped up to create the module and/or asked for it. I haven't looked at Gemini, but I'd check there to see if someone has requested it before - I doubt it.
