Could this be used to search and replace containers in a large site? That has been one thing that makes me wary of changing the skin on a site with many (>1000 pages).

thanks,

Will Sugg

Sure, you can do it.

Add these values to tablesList, columnsList and primarykeysList arrays:

- Tabs

- ContainerSrc

- TabId

To do the same for the skins, add these 3 values: Tabs, SkinSrc, TabId

About time someone wrote something like this ;)

I have been meaning to do it for ages- I have so many old links etc. that need changing site wide in HTML mods. I have not tried it yet but it sounds like quite a security risk leaving the page live - it wuold be good if this could be wrapped in a module with Admin perms etc.

The first version of this page was a windows application ("DNN UrlFixer") back in March 2005, but required direct access to the database. The next version (about August 2005) was similar but connecting to the database via a web service, so; could be used on any site/database (the windows app)

This time it is a simple aspx page. On porpouse a page instead of a module. Just upload and use, then delete if you want.

Can be wrapped as a module (and move the configuration - tables which it can handle-  to the more friendly module settings page, instead of edit array values). For some tables a 'security "portalid" filter can be added (for admins, not 'hosts'). OK. I'll do it soon...

Thanks

Horacio.-

Just a logged-in host user will access it

BTW, some month ago I've rewritten it to work all at SQL server site (faster and no string lengh limit). It still can be configured to work with any module/table, not just HTML/Text.

download: http://www.evotiva.com/Downloads/tabid/54/Default.aspx

Maybe soon I'll wrap it as a DNN module, but I still like it simple as it is (a single sefl-conained aspx page).
