Hello New to DNN Environment. Just wondering can I as admin set roles to allow a registered user to post an event in the events calendar module?

I played w/ the DNN temporary/test portal. but didn't really see that option?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Yes, you give them editor rights to the module.

Hope this helps

Roger

Sorry for post hijacking but this doesn't work!. I am an admin and in "view" mode even I don't see the add events link at the bottom of the calendar. I have to enter edit mode for the site. What gives?

DNN ver 4.09

EM ver 4.00.02

VIEW mode is intended to help present the site the way a non-editor sees it.  Non-editors for the EVENTS module don't get the "Add Event" link, therefore you don't see the link when in "VIEW" mode even as an admin.

A Note of Caution:
If you give EDIT rights to the EVENTS module you're also giving rights to DELETE events (as well as the module itself).  For events with "Registration Enabled", if an editor DELETES an event that users have already registered for, you will permanently lose all user registration info for that event (data in the EVENTSSIGNUPS table).  Be careful of who you extend EDIT rights to for the EVENTS module...

Mamlin,

Thanks for the reply. I have enabled my registered users group  edit privileges. No one can see the "add events" link. Any idea's why?
