Does the 3/26 version fix the issue with DNN 3.1?  I'm still getting the same problem. (Unauthenticated user TZ set to UTC 0:00)

Go to www.fbctopeka.com and look at the Events List module at the left on the home.  See the Time Zone listed at the bottom?

Also, our calendar shows the wrong times for everyone that's not logged in.

We've found a workaround...in that everyone that we've had to change all the registered users' time zones to UTC-0:00, then changed all the event timezones to UTC-0:00...which gets the times right for our events...but it still shows the incorrect time zone.

I have tried an upgrade to the latest version Events_3[1].2_Install.zip (3/26/06) by going to the Modules when logged in as HOST...tried to re-upload it, but it does not show any different.

Do we need to delete this module and reinstall?  Our calendar lady will kick me if she had to re-enter all those events.

Help!  Thanks

I went ahead and upgraded my site to 3.2.2, the module is working now...but it still seems to be an issue with 3.1 DNN site.

thanks

probably mentioned but..

if event was created in one time zone and user is in a different time zone..   things just get out of whack.   On the calendar it shows time zone when created.  In list that you can show below calendar it shows time(zone) when created but hover the event name and it shows the user time zone.   I'm not sure how this can be used reliably as I am confused myself.

Is it possible to have a time zone setting in the host section (which would be the actual time zone of the physical host server) and a time zone setting for the portal itself.  I am living in Vietnam (UTC +7) and I have chosen a host in the US (UTC -6) so all the events show the wrong day about 12 hours per day.   I hope that this is not the actual preferred way of setting this and I missed it ;)  I looked through the settings pages and the only time zone reference that I can see is directly related to the portal itself.

I have a feeling that a timezone problem may still be lingering in DNN 4.3.3.  I have a portal & Host setup as default zone UTC+10.  The Host user is setup as UTC+10.  Here are the steps that i took to consistently reproduce the problem.

1. Add Event Module to Page
2. Settings as follows;

3.All other settings as default, the save.
4.Create Test Event (pick any date) but dont make it recurring
5.Event will show correctly in Calendar View
6.Change event to a recurring event as follows;

Repeat Weekly:

Repeated every week on:

6.Save Event
7.You will receive one of the following.  Either the event completely disappears or it is displayed in an incorrect timezone.

Can anyone else confirm this behaviour?  Setup is DNN4.3.3 , WINXP, SQL Server 2005.

Cheers
John
