Just updated my site to 4.3.3 and the time zones are out of whack again...

Site TZ set @ PST UTC-8

Admin TZ set @ PST UTC-8

Admin creates events...events displayed correctly for anonymous viewers (not logged-in)

Anonymous view (correct):

Start Date/Time: Thursday, August 03, 2006 6:00 PM
End Date/Time:  Thursday, August 03, 2006 9:00 PM
Time Zone: (UTC -08:00) Pacific

View when logged in as admin:

Start Date/Time: Saturday, August 05, 2006 1:59 AM
End Date/Time:  Saturday, August 05, 2006 4:59 AM
Time Zone: (UTC -08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada); Tijuana

I can confirm that on 4.03.04 too. I have Site settings etc. all pointing to

(UTC +11:00) Magadan, Solomon Is., New Caledonia

and this shows ok for anonymous users but in admin logon it defaults to

(UTC -08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada); Tijuana (Maybe someone has hard-coded Tijuana somewhere?)

Cheers, John

Are you logged in as admin or host? I had the same issue when logged in as host. In the account profile, it did indicate the correct time zone. I reset it and updated the account and all was good.

Hi, Sorry I am a complete newbie to DNN so might be doing something wrong. However, when I log in as Host and go to the Site Settings I can see my Timezone is correct i.e. (UTC +11:00) Magadan, Solomon Is., New Caledonia . Also if I login as Admin and go to Site Settings it is OK. If however I schedule an event with either of these two logons it keeps defaulting to (UTC -08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada); Tijuana .

If I don't login, the calendar shows the correct times. If I logon as admin or host it shows them wrong. It seems like these two users have somehow got their timezones hardcoded to Tijuana. But I can't see them in the Users management area to check.  I will set up another non-admin users and see what happens.

Cheers,

John

Hi, it was a case of Newbieness. I finally found the Superuser account Manage Profile area. Reset the Timezones and updated. Now everything is working.

Sorry for wasting people's time, I am just so blown away with how good DNN is, that I charged off without thinking it through.

Cheers,

John
