I have a client who has multiple calendars with multiple moderators on their site. In the event detail page, there is a line that shows what user created the event. If another moderator edits an event, is there a way to show who edited it and when? The client wants to keep an audit trail to keep track of changes. Thanks in advance.

In 4.0.2 there is data updated on the events record that shows the last updated date, and last updated userid (at least I think the userid is there, it is in 4.1.0). This information is not available through the gui though.

This does not provide an audit trail, but you could potentially add a trigger to the database to copy the data across to a separate audit trail table. Other than that, your could request an update to the module via Gemini, the link is in my signature...

Cheers

Roger-
I'm not seeing any "updated by" info being handled at any point by the EVENTS database code for event entries.  I'm looking at DNN 4.6.2 and see nothing in the EVENTS table nor in the SP "EventsSave" (which does both INSERT and UPDATE operations for EVENTS table) that suggests "updated by" info is ever passed from the EVENTS module code to the DB at the time of an update for an event entry on the EVENTS table.  Only the "created by" info is present (unless the codebehind is substituting "updated by" user IDs in place of "created by" IDs when making updates -- I don't have a source code copy of DNN handy at the moment).

Can you clarify what you're referring to as the "event record"?

thanks!

I think DNN 4.6.2 would by default have come with Events 3.3.8. You need to go to the download page and get the latest version of the Events module (4.0.2), which has significant stablization improvements over 3.3.8. I would however strongly recommend you upgrade DNN to 4.9.0 (which I think includes Events 4.0.2) since it has many bug and security fixes.

By the way you can see what version of the Events module you are on by going to the Module Definitions page in the Host Menu.

Cheers
Roger
