Install Optional Skins and Containers

DotNetNuke has a rich skinning capability. On this page you can choose the optional Skins and Containers to install.

Installing a Skin and/or container does not automatically enable it, but it makes the skin available to you.

Make sure all the files are being copied over (download the package again) and make sure you refresh your security permissions top downwards.

Thanks Shirley

I read the installWizard code carefully. I think the problem is that I use the "custom" type to install Dnn 4.9.0, this type of install may ask the customized skins for install. Because I haven't make the customized skins ready, it definitly get the errors to stop the install. I am not sure if my inference is correct.

Thanks again

it is not a problem of the Skin and Container, DNN 4.9.0 installs default skin and container to make sure, the site is able to run. There is a caching issue, While I am not sure, what does cause it. I suggest to clear the installation, files and database , and restart from scratch.
