What good is a community site if the community cant share what should be community information?

If there is an issue with a host, the entire community should be informed.

With that said, I do understand that it should be done with an "experience" in mind and not with "flaming" in mind.

Hi,

I have dedicated server in The Netherlands and a site at wh4l. Bandwith of Wh4l is much better than of most Dutch providers like signet. At start bad with setting up. Unfortunately the database timestamp is still US and the collation of the database was and is wrong (some not standard MS value for what reason?; hopefull they changed, but changing an installed db is a hell of job). Sometimes slow or site down. But support and response is good.

If PowerDNN would put servers oversees (not in UK) I would try to see how they perform. The decidated boxes are too expensive I think..but that is my opinion. They offer server time for 'Europe' with UK as time reference..but as US 'orientals' you might not know: UK is driving on the left lane and the rest of Europe on the right. So also with server timestamp...UK has different one as the rest of Europe..so PowerDNN..and UK is not using EURO's like the rest of Europe is...so Tony, if Power DNN wants to become part of Europe :-) (no offences to UK of course, a joke). Do me a favor and offer Amsterdam time (+1GMT ?)

J.

Maybe create separate forum thread for hosting?

By the way: Is dotnetcorp also going to offer hosting? Seems you have taken a very challenging and 'commercial' oriented open source CEO on board when I am reading his track record. Microsoft also started providing 'hosted services' as an ASP solution provider next to their Solution Partners..so nothing news about that. So how is dotnetcorp going to earn money on open source? or is that for different thread?
