I have just launched an eCommerce store to sell games.
This includes typical board games, themed games like
Monopoly and Dominoes and other stuff. I wanted to
launch it earlier, but was pretty sick for a few months.

It is based on the ML/DNN version of ASPDotNetStorefront.

Check it out at www.uncommongames.com and let me know.
There are lots of Categories and Subcategories and if you
have something in particular in mind, try the Product Search
at the top right to search. It is a fairly advanced search tool...
much more than just a keyword search.

I am needing to get a few sales through Google Checkout
so that the GCO Badge will show up in my Adwords ads.
I figured the likelihood of some DNNers have GCO accounts
might be pretty high.

I am getting orders, but mostly through PayPal Express and
they are shipping pretty quick. So I think people could still
get some stuff before Christmas.

Thanks for any feedback you can provide on the site review
and if a few of you could do GCO orders that would be great.
If you don't have GCO and really want to get something, use
the PayPal Express.

Thanks Tony! Buy something. My daughter has applied to Georgetown and Columbia and I need some cash. :)

FYI, everyone, my new site is hosted on one of my PowerDNN dedicated servers. Credit should also go to my designer at www.beesoncreativegroup.com and Jared Buttars at www.blackpond.com who converted the design to a DNN skin. Also Bruce Chapman at www.ifinity.com.au implemented a nice url rewriting scheme and Tom Kraak at www.seablick.com also provided some expertise. Dmitriy at www.spinen.com did the graphics for the Home page carousel. Probably most of all I have to thank my fellow Stompers at www.stompernet.com for all the education and encouragement they provide me each and every day.

I didn't mean for this to become and acceptance speech, but I did want to give credit to so many people who helped (and continue to help) pull this together. Supposedly eCommerce is easy with low barriers to entry. At some level I have to agree, but for me this was a ton of work over many months. Now that I have put it all together once, I am sure I could do it much more quick in the future.

Cliff -

Did you run into any issues with the URL rewrites from ifinity and ASPDNSF module? Looking to do the same for a proposal.

Thanks

E

E:

There might have been some minor issues along the way, but Bruce ironed them all out for me. I think he has the experience required to solve pretty much any issue. I did not attempt to do any of the configuration. Even today, if I have issues, I get Bruce to check it for me. It is much better for me to spend my time on things about which I have a passion and URL rewriting is not one of them. Contact Bruce and see what he says.

If you get into ML/DNN let me know offline and we can talk about it and some interactions with 3rd party modules and analytics, etc.
