Dear friends,

I receive the following error when i browse the dnn website, after creating a virtual directory for it in IIS7 with windows vista.

I am using dnn 4.8.1 version.

If any body could help me, it would be of high help to me.

Parser Error Message: It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level.  This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS.

 You need to create an "application" in IIS7, or convert your virtual directory to an application.

Hi chris

yes you are  right  about creating application or converting the virtual directory to application on iis 7 (i hate it)

so after doing that man i found a new error

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

i don't know why the application running under vs very well but when i publish it makes that error
