A great example of using resource files to package a skin is shown on this page by Adam Kirkbride, he has created a tool to create a skin manifest using resource files.

The problem with the aforementioned site, you need a username and password just to access the resource.  Hence, the webpage is not of any use.

I have created several skins using the new DNN 5.x syntax and get this same error every time I try to install them.

I looked inside the Install\temp folder referred to in the error message, and the file is there--why can't the installer find it?

So I thought OK, it might be me, but I installed the Alpha skin from the webinar by Nik and it worked fine. I unzipped it and re-zipped it, (no other changes) and it won't install (same error). I even downloaded and installed 7 Zip (the one Nik uses). It didn't help!

It was me--I was zipping the whole folder and not just the individual files. D'Oh!

It works now.
