A.

LEFTMENU token details are not available in document 'DotNetNuke 5 Skin Objects Beta Doc 4.pdf'

Is there any other document available, latest than this?

B.

With TEXT token, [Portal:homedirectory] is not being replaced even after using 'replaceToken' = True?

Thanks

Regarding my question in earlier post, here is the code in question

 <object id="Object3" codetype="dotnetnuke/server" codebase="TEXT"><param name="Text" value= "[Portal:homedirectory]" /><param name="replaceTokens" value="true" /> </object

This code returns this text

[Portal]

Could you please advise whre the mistake is?

Ok it seems you found an issue in the skin parser. (it does work in an ascx skin)
I'll log it in the issue tracker.

For now you could use one of the options on this codeplex page:

IncludeHeader="true" has no affect on LEFTMENU settings. Header do not show.

When looked into LeftMenu.ascx.vb, I found no property for Inc ludeHeader

Example code

dnn:LEFTMENU runat="server" id="dnnLEFTMENU" Width="165px" ShowOnlyCurrent="RootItem" MaxLevel="2" IncludeHeader="true" />

Hello Dot Net Nuke group.  It has been some time since I have felt lost and frustrated with this amazing product.  Changes are always frustrating and always seems to occur right when you do not need them.

To the point.  I manage a number of DOT NET NUKE sites using GoDaddy as a host.  Godaddy is great and I just launched two new sites.  However, when I tried to upload my custom designed skins for each site I found myself in Version 5 hell.  I for the life of me can not seem to get a legacy skin uploaded.  Before I just zipped the folder that contained the files in DNN\Portals\Default\NewSkin and created a Zip file.  It was simple and worked great.  Now I am confused with the terms and methods of getting a skin on the site and my clients are expecting them on line.

Here is part of the issues.  You state in B. Manage skin pages, to C. Click the "Create package" link..  That does not exist.  So I went into the HOST / Extensions and under SKIN I edited Minimal Extropy Skin but selected "Create Package".  Now I located the new skin files that I had uploaded to the site by choosing HOST/ HOST Settings / Upload new Skin.  This worked and showed the files and created the skin package.  But now I can not figure out how to apply it.  After refreshing the HOST / EXTENSIONS it does not show up.  Also, it does not show up in the SKIN choices.  Any ideas?  Not only would I like to know where I went wrong but how I missed it in the instructions.

Thank you all.  Your the best.
