as any fix would break 3rd party modules, I don't expect it to be included before DNN 5.0.0

Thanks for the quick reply on this, much appreciated. I will now need to discuss with my manager if he will make an exception for DNN to be deployed without being complied or introduce that little hack.

Does anyone know if implementing that little hack will break anything? (Other than some 3rd party modules)

Sebastian,

Do you have an idea how it could be implemented in 5.0.0? It would be very helpful for those of us who desperately needs this functionaltiy now and cannot wait till the release of 5.0.0. Maybe we would be able to retrofit the anticipated approach into the current version?

We don't use third party modules in our project, where we need precompilation very much, so we could live with a fix that breaks other modules. But the problem is that the fix described in this thread also breaks some core functionality :(

I am not sure, if core modules would be affected as well, you can try to include the fix and test.

Hi DNN Team,

App_GlobalResources causes problems when precompiling site in all the versions released by DNN till now.

Is this bug fixed in 4.6.0 release? I'm waiting for the DNN team to resolve this bug from the time i'm using 4.3 version.

There is a huge requirement for our projects to be precompiled.

Please fix this bug so that we can recommend DNN for our future projects.
