Spifli, the format strings are coded in the application you use.

If the application dont handle multiple currencies its rather hard to solve. As I understand you all currency should be in € but you would like a visitor from other countries read in english or your locale language.

If so it could be done but then you have to remove the standard us-en languagepackage and make this avialable in a country that use €. Then you use this as the backup language for US-en and all other languages you have installed.

I do not recomend to do It will have negative impact with upgrades.

But it would have been fine if the design of languge implementation in DNN have had this scenario in mind.

(eg not hardcoded the language to the language file.)

Well, if the display is tied to the current locale there's not too much that you can do without the source. You need to contact the module developer to get support on this one.

...but assuming that:

1)  you cannot contact the developer at the present time,

2) you need to get it right away,

3) you have no problem in displaying always the same currency sign bypassing the locale format completely, and

4) you have the value displayed in a datagrid...

...then and only then you might be able to solve it by editing the ascx, finding the column where the currency value is showed and adding/editing the property DataformatString so that it matches the criteria that you want, ie DataformatString="{0:$ #,#.##}"

I know I know its not advisable as the currency might be showed in several other places where you explictly need the source, as would be the case with textboxes, but its worth a try.

Cheers,

if a module developer would use urrency format from UI locale, it depends on locale, wheter an article costs 100 USD, 100 GBP, 100 EUR or 100 Brasilian Real.
