I am still sniffing around for reports of major issues.

In case you are unaware (any excuse to post this):

Thanks

Thanks. I was aware of it. Do you pick up issues from the forums and post them to Gemini? Cause I am sure many users don't use it.

No kidding.

Here is where issues get discussed, when it is found to be a recreatable bug with the latest DNN version then it should be posted in Gemini.

Yes I often pick up issues from forums and log it, but it would be nice if more people tracked existing issues and logged their own reproducable bugs (with URL references) then life would be dandy :).

As far as I can see (and in fact, I read nearly every posts in these forums, although I only answer to 90 % of it ), all issues, which have been mentioned and identified as such, have been entered to Gemini by one of us or we asked the poster to be supportive and enter it into our release tracker. Please note, that any issue, which has not been entered into Gemini, has nearly NO chance to get fixed. Thank you.

Sebastian, a few years ago I was tearing my hair out trying to get my first installation of DotNetNuke 3.x up and running. You were generous with your advice and with your help, I got it running. So, I have always tried to go the extra mile by offering others advice when I can, and by logging issues that I see on Gemini rather than expecting you or others to do it.

Having said that, I have found the Gemini system to be rather labyrinthine -- it's just not immediately clear where and how to submit an item. Yet, since the system seems to be serving the community well, I always figured it was just me. Still, I wonder if there is an easier system that could be implemented? Just thinking out loud, I guess.

Anyway, THANK YOU for being there for me when it most counted.

Steve

Steve,

thank you for the kind words.

Regarding Gemini, i agree, that there are challenges in the UI and we also face a couple of performance issue, especially Alex have to suffer from. But there haven't been many systems on the market, when the decision was needed a few years ago and any switch would either result in loosing our version history or require a huge effort. We hope though, that our admins get the chance to upgrade our Gemini installation to the latest version soon to improve the situation for our "Masters of the Bugs" as well as all the contributors from the community.
