HELP! I Love DNN what I need to know is all about

DATABASES!! I have a shared hosting site with a sql database on a separate server. How do I write to the database from my site? I mean I need to know from the ground up.

Here's the scenario...a user comes to my site and I want them to be able to enter some personal details and a photo and then have them put into a database...is there a module that does this. I'm the sort of guy who needs to know how these things work! I'm going thru a career change...taking a sabbatical...I'm nearly 50yrs old for gods sake!...what am I doing trying to fathom out connection strings and queries?? One thing in my favour...I can make a fantastic Yorkshire Pudding! Help me to understand these god damn databases and I'll show you how to make the perfect Yorkshire Pudding!

Hey chemystery,

Every, or nearly every DNN module does what you are wanting with all the details carefully hidden away from people who would break it.  :)  Anyway..

Probably you would get more responces if you posted this over in one of the other general forums like Lets Chat about it or maybe Install it.

Cheers,

Paul Davis
