The calendar which accompanies the blog does not mark the days of the blog entries is that normal?

It should highlight the days that that have entries and not highlight days that have no entries.

Yes of course but it doesn't work that way. (I don't know if I pushed the wrong button somewhere)

No I don't think so.  It's one of those things that should just work.  :)  Maybe it's your skin on the page causing a problem?  You might try changing the date time format of the blog to include one of the formats that includes the time.
