<p>Hi,</p> <p>My site will need to be viewed in both Swedish and English. I have read about languagepacks but I guess thats just for the administrators/hosts view. I also read that I could use resource files or XML/Text files to make it simple, for displaying different languages to the site visitor.</p> <p>But I'd like some kind of tutorial for this. How do I enter the different languages when using for instance the text/html module. Well, any kind of guidance woulf be nice. Im not to familiar with the ASP .NET resourcefile system ... yet...</p> <p>Thanks in advance! /Jesper Wilfing</p>

Jesper,

for multilingual sites there are 2 challenges:

a) localization of page properties, especially name, in Window Title, menu, links and breadcrumbs

b) localization of module title and content

there are several solutions around for a), namely free EALO (available at www.codeplex.com/ealo), PageLocalization from www.apollo-software.nl and DSLocalizator from Locopon (dnn.tiendaboliviana.com).

For b) there are a number of free and commercial multilingual modules, like MagicContent, MagicNews, MagicLinks from PortalFabrik, MLHTML, ML(adv)Announcements and MLSurvey from Apollo or MMLinks from Locopon.

There is also our simple approach to ML portals which is available for free and don't require use of ML specific modules:
