Hi Guys,

I am new to DNN, my company recently started creating websites in DNN, which has been going really well and we have created 5 modules already. The problem I am having however is that we are using LinQ to Sql Classes, but we cannot find any decent tutorials that describes how to build a full module, ie. the settings, edit view ect. ect, and I am struggeling to complete the module I have been assigned.

Do you guys have any links or anything for me to look at?

I have purchased DNN books, but I will not get them soon enough!

Thanks  in advance!

Thanks Sebastian. There is a ton of stuff on my site so the let me point him to:

  • Creating a DotNetNuke Module using LINQ to SQL (VB and C#) (Start here!)
    • Set up module
    • Create the table
    • Create the LINQ to SQL Class
    • Connect GridView and formView to LinqDataSource Control
    • Create the Code Behind
    • Create the module definition
  • Creating a DotNetNuke Module using LINQ to SQL (VB and C#) (Part 2)
    • format the dollar amount properly
    • Validate that a description has been entered
    • Give the administrator the ability to add and delete Categories
    • Show the number of items in each category
    • Do not allow a category to be deleted if there are items using that category.
  • Creating a DotNetNuke Module using LINQ to SQL (C#) (Part 3)
    • Move Add and Edit Items to a separate page
    • Use a ListView to implement grouping
