I have a multiple portal DNN installation running that had been fine for a couple years.  I recently upgraded to 4.8 and have noticed that the Actions drop down menu for page modules does not work on one of the sub portals.  The spinning animation starts when I rollover the arrow to launch the Actions drop down, but the actual menu never appears.  This happens in both my custom skins on that portal as well as the default skins being used in the admin area.  Any idea of what might be causing this?

Same problem with a 4.6.0 site.....

Looks like the problem has spread to all sites that I have hosted at GoDaddy.  The drop downs work properly in Opera and Chrome, but not at all in IE and only sporadically in Firefox (some containers work, others do not).  Could someone else that has a DotNetNuke installation on a GoDaddy server please confirm that they're having this issue as well?  Basically the DNN Actions menu, when you roll over it, just spins and never appears.

Ditto on GoDaddy. I have several sites of various DNN versions experiencing the same behavior

I can fix it by changing the container file and setting PopulateNodesFromClient="false". I also noticed that the File Manager throws an exception when clicking on a node: a pop-up box with (null-null) in it.

Must be some issue with the dnn client api and go daddy. Anyone know what I should check ? File permissions seem to be fine.

Did one of you ever solve that problem? I have the same issue with a new installation of DNN 5.0.1 on a machine with Windows XP Pro / SQL Server 2005 Express: the module action menu does never show in IE 7 and 8 (but it does in Firefox 3.0.8); instead, the "loading" icon turns forever.

I also encountered that problem with a DNN 4.9.1 installation which I copied from a production server (Windows Server 2003 / SQL Server 2005) to my development machine (constellation see above). The portal works fine on the production server, but on the development server, the action menus show only for some of the modules - for most of them the menu does not show!

So I think there must be sth wrong with the development server config, but I can't figure out what! I even reinstalled the ASP.NET framework (ASP.NET 2.0 SP2, ASP.NET AJAX Extensions 1.0), but this didn't help.

Any suggestions are highly welcome!
