I am really fishing and maybe somebody can be kind enough to push me in the right direction.
If users log in to my website using www.portal.domain.com and then click on a link within the blog module that points to portal.domain.com they get redirected through the login page. All the permalinks have the format of portal.domain.com.
Is there a way to make it so that this does not happen?
I expect that regardless of what the original address they use to login to a portal, that if they follow a link within the same portal regardless of wether it has the www or not that they should get to the expected page and not asked to login again.
Thanks in advance for any advice and help.
I recently upgraded for 4.02 to 4.91 and am hosted with webhost4life.com.
It is specifically happening with the Blog Module. I started a thread in the Blog Module Forum at "Unable to click through "Read More..." but seem to have reached a standstill and the problem may not be associated with the Blog module anymore.
Additionally, I tried out some advice I saw at support.powerddn.com with a link refering to forcing all links to contain www as a prefix. This required me to edit all the permalinks to be of the form www.portal.domain.com but then if a user loged in using portal.domain.com they would get the same effect as above but reversed. Maybe I did not get the index.aspx to take?
Thanks in advance!
