Hi,

I want to use the active directory authentication so i just downloaded the Active Directory Module from http://dnn.gmss.org/ADProviderBetas/tabid/131/Default.aspx

I have installed it succesfully in my DNN5.0 fremework. But the problem is when i am trying to click on pencil icon for cahnge the setting it is showing me error messages.
A critical error has occurred.
C:\DotNetNuke\DesktopModules\AuthenticationServices\ActiveDirectory\Settings.ascx(15): error BC30456: 'Page' is not a member of 'ASP.desktopmodules_authenticationservices_activedirectory_settings_ascx'.

I dont know what going wrong there. Could you please help me on this.

Thanks
Akshay

A BC30456 error is a very generic error. Just to be sure, did you download the 05.00.01 version of the provider? Is your application pool running under .NET 2.0?

Also now i am not able to login into my DotNetNuke portal.

Mike do you have any tutorial any posted anywhere so that i can see how to activate Active Directory Module in Dotnetnuke 5.0. May be i am doing some mistakes with the istallation of module.

I have searched a lot over internet but didnt find any tutorial related with DNN5.0.

I haven't got any documentation done yet for DNN 5 and the AD Provider but it's pretty close to the same as for DNN 4 and the documentation for that can be found here.

Log in as Host:
Install the provider under Host->Extentions
Apply settings to the provider under Admin->Extentions (click the pencil icon beside the provider).

Other than that it's the same as for DNN 4.

What error are you getting when you try to log into your Portal?
