Hi,

I am using HouseOfNuke  menu at my site and my problem is how it build its links. The link body right now is:

http://localhost/[portal name]/[page name]/tabid/[tab id]/Default.aspx

Now, I want to remove the [page name] section of the url as it is not needed for getting to the page. Do I'd like my link to loo like:

http://localhost/[portal name]/tabid/[tab id]/Default.aspx

How do I control the link building?

Thank you,

Dor Raba.

The links are controlled by the FriendllyURL provider. I suggest looking at the FriendlyURL Provider you can get from www.ifinity.com.au, there's a free one there that does EXCELLENT work on urls, removes the tabid parameter and would simply build the URL as

http://localhost/portalname/pagename.aspx

Thanks for the reply,

I have another problem with the house of nuke menu, as my localhost portal address is:

http://localhost:8080/[portal name]

Now, the problem with the house of nuke menu is that when I click on the "Home" button in the menu I get redirected to the following address:

http://localhost/[portal name]

This address will give a "page not found" error because it is missing the port after the server name.

All the other button menus are fine, Only the home button is doing this problem.

Does anyone have an idea on how I can fix this?

Thank you,

Dor Raba.

Login as HOST and go to your Admin/Site Settings page, check the portal aliases section, do you have two aliases, one with and one without the port?

Edit your web.config file. In the first 1/3 you will see "use port numbers". Flag it to yes. Make sure it's not commented out.
