Hi there, I'm new to DNN and wanted to know what is the best way of presenting part of another page on a landing page. E.g. I want to list all my newes articles from other pages - rather than retyping the headline (Title, summary, etc.) I'd want to place a module (or rss feed if that's the best way) to make it appear everytime a new article is added.

Any ideas much appreciated,

Regards,

Pav

I assume the best way would be using an RSS feed, another option is What's new, but this does not provide much configuration or control over the output.

Hi
I went through this exact scenario trying differrent things for months and finally settled on the included reports module. Using rss based aggregator modules for content generated by your dnn site, I at least found issues with posting delays and some other minor things. I think its just due to how the core addresses rss based information, no one's fault really. But using the reports module, entering in the sql query for the announcements or newsletters or whatever, and running them through an html template has worked amazingly well on our site. You might check that out as an option.

Using the Report module as memond detailed would be a great way to achieve what you're after.  I do the same with similar free modules to roll in functionality not provided by Blog, Events, etc.  Here's an example (with SQL code):

That post details using the free AdvancedDatagrid module but the Report module will work just as well (if not better thanks to template ability).

Cheers!
