Hi Folks,

I'm looking to possibly host a community site using DNN and have a few hopefully easy questions

1) Whats the difference between the Login module and Registration module (one to Register, one to Login or are they the same thing)?

2) Does the core Login/Registration module require new users to enter in a code based on a graphic to help prevent bots from registering?

3) Does the core Login/Registration module require new user accounts to be validated via email (or is that an option we can set?)

4) Once users have registered and logged in to the DNN Site, can that authentication be used to allow posting to a DNN message board (without a separate login) and also allow them to reach other password protected pages in the site (once again withouth a separate login).

Many many thanks for any guidance you can offer!

~Vincent

1.  Login = Login user (prompt for user/password)  Registration = (Create/edit user acocunt)

2.  This is a configurable option

3.  This is also a configurable option (Verified Registration)

4.  Yes, once you are logged in you can control access to individual modules and/or pages.
