I'm using 6.1.5 and having the exact same problem. What do you mean when you say to re-save the folder permissions? I clicked the update button and get the same message. The thing is, I just created the folder and I cannot upload files into it.

Update: Sorry, didn't read the entire thread.  Simple problem.  I was in view mode, not edit.  Problem solved.

I am using 7.00.06 Community and it seems you can only upload if you are a member of the Administrators. I have created a group called Page Editors and given users access to this group, they edit pages OK, and I have given them access to File Manager and given them permission also to upload to a folder called Resources, and the Images folder under the site portal.

Why do they need to be administrators?

To upload files the user/user Group needs write permissions witch could be set in the File Manager.
