Is there any way to get rid of the ".aspx" at the end of every URL?  I've seen a couple different URL rewriting modules, but everything I've seen still requires you to end your url in .aspx.  I'd prefer to be able to have www.mysite.com/products/widget instead of www.mysite.com/products/widget/default.aspx.  Is that possible?  What would it take?

Check out the URL Master module/provider from www.ifinity.com.au

I use it on a number of sites, it makes cleaning up DNN urls very easy! Their free provider works well too.

Is there no way of creating clean urls with the dnn core modules? I am worried about future compatability issues.

Hi Cliff

The answer is no.  You need a third party module to remove the .aspx extension, as the standard DNN Friendly Url Provider / Url Rewriter has .aspx hardcoded everywhere.

You're welcome to try out the module that Chris has recommended (I'm the developer) and see back through the version history to see how quickly any DNN compatibility issues are handled should they arise.   The module plugs straight into the DNN Framework as a direct replacement for the standard code is not a set of hacks as some solutions are.
