Hi guys,

All of the sudden, my host password "is wrong" according to dnn login in my local installation. I've been working on that site for quite some time now and suddently the password won't work. The only things i've done are:

1. changed web.config for production server settings then restored back.

2. Attached DB to make backup and dettached again, cuz I'm using sql server express mode (no sql login, or password, etc).

What can be happening here? IS there a default password for this kind of issue or something?

Thanx.

make sure, the web.config file still contains previously used machinekey, this might have been overwritten, when the database connection was missing.

Well, I don't really know if it was different before. Is there anything I can do to "restore" setting in this case?

If you don't have a backup of the previously used web.config, you need to reset all passwords (if you loose all keys for your front door, you need to replace the lock).

to regain host access using the backdoor you need direct access to the database. you may follow this procedure.
