Hi All,

I have a requirement for the Registration Process to enable only those users who are invited to register/join.That is, to have a product key generated which user's can use to register on the site.

I am new to DNN and would appreciate if someone who has implemented such a feature can provide pointers/code to achieve this.

Help me!

Regards,

Amol

You could turn the registration to private and your "invite" process involves someone hitting the site and performing the registration on their behalf.

Or open up registration and use the RSVP Role stuff.  Essentially you give those special users the RSVP code they punch in on your site, which auto-joins them to that role.  Then you control the visibility of the features based on that role...

Maybe a combo of both...?

Hi,

Thanks for your inputs.

In the approach you have suggested, the users still need to go to their profiles and enter the RSVP code. This might be an extra step to be done every time they need access to the feature.

I am looking at some way to restrict the registration process itself to few invited users with some sort of key/token.

Any suggestions on how this can be achieved?

Regards,

Amol
