Hello

My Code loads a DNN Module into a ASP Placeholder. Now i have the problem that sometimes the HTML Module will shown twice. How can that happen and how can I fix that?

Here is the code I using to load the Control:

ModuleInfo CurrentModuleInfo = new ModuleController().GetModule(123, 12);
string NewControlSrc = "~/" + CurrentModuleInfo.ControlSrc;
PortalModuleBase CurrentModule = this.Page.LoadControl(CurrentModuleInfo.ControlSrc) as PortalModuleBase;
CurrentModule.ModuleConfiguration = CurrentModuleInfo;
PlaceHolder1.Controls.Add(CurrentModule);

The HTML looks like:

<div id="dnn_ctr420_ContentPane" class="DNNAlignleft">
   <div id="dnn_ctr420_ModuleContent">
      <div id="dnn_ctr420_ControlCarier_ControlCarier__2434a3f93a55_ctl00_lblContent" class="Normal">
      <div id="dnn_ctr420_ControlCarier_ControlCarier__2434a3f93a55_ctl00_HtmlModule_lblContent" class="Normal">

Any ideas?

Regards Chris

When in your control's lifecycle are you doing this?  Are you watching out for Page.IsPostBack?

Page_Init. The Postback check doesn't have an effect on it. Problem still exists.

There is a good chance that Page_Init is getting called twice. This may be especially true with the Text/HTML module due to it's in-place edit option. I have noticed that hovering over the action menu icon for a moment will sometimes trigger Page_Init of other modules on the same page.

I would suggest clearing the control collection of the placeholder everytime before adding the loaded module control to the placeholder or alternatively, checking if it's count > 0 in which case you would not want to add another instance of the module control.

I tried that. But the problem still exists.

On Default, the HTML module has a Cache time of 1200. If I disable this cache (0) it seems to work... Is there a caching problem with HTML Modules or is my loading code wrong?

Regards Chris
