Hi James

Another options for you to consider, which is quite flexible so you can make it work the way you like... is to use OpenWebStudio which is a free open source development module for DNN.

I'm just newbie with it myself, but have a sample OWS configuration here already setup and working with the DNN Blogs so you'd be almost there!

thanks very much everyone as I am very new to this, Iv just used the news feed module and the RSS to update it and it seems to work fine. Once I get a bit more confident with it though, I may try out some different options.

BlogDisplay was designed to do exactly what you want.  It is very configurable and is available as a free download from our site.
