I have been attempting to build a host server for some time, but have run into a myriad of problems - most of which I've found one solution or another on the forums for, only to have it replaced by another.  I've used Windows 2k advanced server, SQL express 2k5 with no luck.  Am now attempting Win 2k3 with SQL express 2k5 also with no luck.  Does anyone have a comprehensive install procedure (I have Win server admin experience, but very limited SQL knowledge, and am just getting into vis studio express) for either of the software configs?  I can shift to XP pro if need be, but the server must also double as FTP (I've got IIS6 working nicely for that part at least).

Since I've gone so deep in configuration steps, it will actually be easier for me to slick the box and reinstall everything than try to remember what changes I made to my baseline, which article I referenced, and what I did next.  Will repost topic under Install It! once I have the litany of installation/configuration typed up later today.

Software loadout will be Win2k Adv Svr, IIS 5, Sql Svr 2k5 express, DNN 402.  Any links to a server specific config would be appreciated - the documentation in the Docs folder seems 100% devoted to your dev box.  I will not be creating the site on the production server - I have a seperate laptop I do the dev work on.
